Write it as instructions: “When you draft for me, remember…” not “Harvey is passionate about…”
Update it when the quarter changes. A stale About Me file is how Copilot keeps optimizing for last year’s job.
Core principles
- Include role, scope, current projects, and one or two goals for this quarter.
- Name the people or teams you draft for, not “leadership.”
- Leave out career history unless it changes the advice.
- Under 300 words. If you need more, you are writing a project pack.
