Draft the Sales Methodology
Before Agent Builder, decide what the agent permanently knows. Start with the first and most important document: Sales Methodology.
Lesson 3
Durable how-we-sell knowledge.
Use Copilot chat or Copilot in Word to synthesize from playbooks, onboarding notes, CRM stage definitions, and your own notes. The output should be concrete enough that the agent can follow rules, not vague enough that it invents sales strategy.
Core principles
- Sales Methodology — account types, deal stages, stakeholder lenses, meeting expectations.
- Durable knowledge only — if it goes stale when one client changes, it does not belong here.
- Where your materials conflict, make Copilot list the conflict and ask you; do not let it smooth over contradictions.
- Concrete rules beat abstract principles — "for CFOs, surface budget timing and risk" beats "be strategic."
- Name and save the file exactly: Sales Methodology. Lesson 5 instructions refer to that name.

What belongs in the Sales Methodology grounding document?
Client data is volatile — attach per meeting. Sales Methodology is durable how-we-sell knowledge that shapes every prep doc.
Do this in Copilot
Draft and save the Sales Methodology document. Review every inferred rule before you treat it as agent grounding.
Paste this into Copilot Chat and work through it before moving on.
Sales Methodology
I am building a reusable Copilot agent that preps me for client meetings, and I need a clear "how we sell" reference for it to follow. I am pasting everything I have — sales playbooks, onboarding notes, CRM stage definitions, and my own notes. Synthesize this into a structured methodology covering: our account types and who leads each, our deal stages, the stakeholder types we sell to and what each one cares about, and what we expect from every client meeting. Keep it concrete and rule-based. Where my materials are silent or contradict each other, list the gap and ask me — do not invent an answer. [Paste your materials below.]
